New KillSwitch Engage Single In Due Time

There album is set to come out on April 2nd 2013.  KillSwitch Engage appears to be back and in a big way!  If this is an indicator on how the rest of the album is going to sound, it is going to be epic.  Can’t wait.

Couple of New Hard Rock Music Videos| AIC and Hatebreed

Here are a couple of new music videos I have been enjoying lately.  First one came out maybe 3 weeks ago by Alice In Chains.  It is called Hollow and it bring me back to the cd Dirt.  What do you all think??  There is no release date for their album yet but I can tell you it is completed and will be out sometime in 2013 according to sources.

Next up is the new music video that was released by Hatebreed just yesterday.  As usual it pounds and is only 2 minutes long so be prepared to want to listen to it many more!  I enjoyed the video, it has some blood and fire which in my opinion makes a great video 🙂  As for their new album it is called “The Divinity of Purpose” and is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on January 29th.

One last news I read the other day which has me pumped is sometime this year KillSwitch Engage is going to come out with a new album.  Can’t wait.  Here is to a great 2013, metal/hard rock is not dead!

Soundgarden Debut’s New Single off Upcoming November Album

Soundgarden shares their new audio on youtube for their upcoming single called Been Away Too Long.  There new album King Animal will be in stores on November 13th.  It sounds just like where they left off.  Many doubters would think that Soundgarden has lost it but nope. Ellie Goulding Debut’s New Video For ‘Anything Could Happen’

I fell in love with her first single and even after hearing it probably 200 times on the radio, I find I am still not sick of it yet.  Here is her second single and I think it is going to do pretty well.  It is very catchy right off the bat and there is some amazing views in the video.  Her new album Halycon will be coming out October 9th in the U.S. and I can’t wait.  Let me know what you think.  Also if you didn’t know she is dating Skrillex 🙂

New Stone Sour Single Lyric Video

Stone Sour – “Gone Sovereign/Absolute Zero” (Lyric Video).  Here is the new Stone Sour single and I gotta say being a 7 minute song it flies by and as soon as it ended I wanted to listen again.  At this point I am pumped for the new album and have listened to this song about 5 times.

Music Review: Alanis Morissette-Havoc And Bright Lights-2012

 This is Alanis’s 7th cd.  I know Right?? It is hard to believe that it is her seventh album but there were a few that didn’t get too popular and her awesome Unplugged album.  She has been busy and got divorced a few years ago and then remarried and now has her first child.  It it possible for her to make a comeback??  Why yes of course it is possible.

As you can see the album has 12 tracks and starts out great with her hit single that came out a few months ago.  I really love the song and she has such a unique folk type voice but unfortunately I don’t think the song is very popular on the radio.  Who listens to radio anyways??  Pretty much from age 39 and younger we all listen to Pandora or IheartRadio but that is another story for another time.  I really enjoyed the first 4-5 songs on the album but then to me it starts to fall flat.  They songs are softer and quieter and to me they don’t stand out.  Are they decent songs, yes but to me they aren’t big hits.  I judge an album by how many hits it could potentially have on it.  With this album, I would say probably 4-5 possible choices, maybe 6 but obviously not many artists have that many hits.  Not everyone can be Black Eyed Peas or Katy Perry.  In fact many artists whom I won’t name come out with 3 big songs and then put garbage on the rest of their album which I like to call fillers.  They sell enough from their big singles and the people buy the album but to be honest not many people will listen to the album all the way through.  Luckily thanks to Itunes and other types of online stores we can just buy the awesome singles and leave the album be so that makes the artists and record companies pay more attention. Sorry I went off on a tandem a little bit.  

I rate this album 3.5 out of 5.  Like I said above it has some great songs and her fans will definitely enjoy it like I did.  It isn’t the worst album of hers or from anybody but to me it isn’t the best either.  If you enjoy the single and Alanis then I recommend buying it because you will enjoy it like I have.  With the right marketing and radio play she could definitely make a comeback to be more mainstream.  Will she?? We will find out.

2 Chainz was at his album release party wearing 3 chainz.  WTF???  TMZ has it right..stop trying to confuse us and please stick to wearing two chainz.  Either way it is a pretty great album.

New Skrillex-Bangarang Video

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love Skrillex…almost as much as I am obsessed with Apple.  If you have never heard of him I suggest you check him out.  I am not a huge fan of techno music without any singing or rapping in them but his music just draws me in.  I know this is a very bold statement but I really feel that DubStep genre is the newest generation’s form of classical music.  Enjoy.

New Wayne Static Music Video

This song is pretty good.  Static X has a problem of all their stuff sounding the same.  I am still a fan and will not lose hope.  I do love this single so I am keeping the faith!!  Of course this is not Static X, this is Wayne Static’s solo project.  The video is pretty well done and very funny.  Wayne didn’t have to work too hard in it, he just sat on the couch the entire time LOL.  The album is titled PigHammer and is scheduled to be released on October 4th so be on the lookout.  CityBoy is a huge fan of music so I may do some music reviews coming up if I have some time.  September and on is a huge month for music and movies coming out.  This year will not diasappoint no matter what genre of music you enjoy!!
