MANCHESTER’S LAMOTTE HEADLINES THROWDOWN AT THE ROCK ON FRIDAY NOVEMBER 22

[Combat Zone Press Release]

SALEM, NH— The Sports Club at Rockingham Park is sure to be rocking when rising MMA stars Nate LaMotte of Manchester and Rodrigo Almeida climb back in the cage to headline the main event and co-main event, respectively, of Combat Zone 46 on Friday, November 22.

Lamotte (12-6), nicknamed The Future and representing The Queen City’s Team Burgess, has been out of action for almost 18 months but he will be primed for what promises to be an intense 170 pound battle with Jason “Righteous” Norwood (12-3), who starred on last season’s Bellator Fightmaster and invades from Moorestown, NJ.

Nicknamed “The Young Lion” and fighting out of Lawrence, MA, Almeida (11-2) comes in off a triumphant win in the co-main event of Combat Zone 45 in September when he dispensed with his opponent in just 2:55 of Round 1. He puts his five-fight win streak on the line against the very tough UFC veteran Walel “The Gazelle” Watson (11-6) from San Diego in a match-up at 140 pounds.

The full card of 13 evenly-matched and highly competitive amateur and professional bouts for “Throwdown at The Rock” features many of the marquis mixed martial artists in the region.

Doors open at 6:30 PM and the first fight kicks off in Rockingham’s Sports Club at 8 PM. Tickets for the event are $40 for general admission, $50, $75, $90 or $120 for ringside seating and parking is free. Tickets may be purchased at http://www.combatzonemma.com.

Fans are invited to the weigh-in, where they have the opportunity to meet their favorite fighters and get their autographs. This free event will be held on Thursday, November 21 in the Sports Club beginning at 6 PM.
